Grief & Loss

Grief and Loss Sessions support clients with:

  • Developing a better understanding of their loss
  • Managing their grief and related life changes
  • Learning skills to better manage the emotional impact of their grief

Overview:
The process of grieving and dealing with loss is intricate, complex and, in my experience, unique for everyone. The loss itself can take many forms; loss of a loved one, a relationship, a career or even a life dream or belief. These losses can shake us to our core and throw at us many different emotions of varying intensities. Grief itself is often unpredictable and can be difficult to make sense of by ourselves, so it can be useful to have professional support with navigating this time.

What to Expect:
In therapy, I hope to provide my clients with a nurturing space where they can feel supported as they navigate through this unpredictable and challenging time. Feeling empowered to share and discuss the loss while exploring the complexities of emotions which they are experiencing is a vital component of grief therapy. Through gaining greater insight about this emotional experience, clients begin their journey towards making sense of and ultimately healing the wounds of their loss. While there is no ‘quick fix’ when it comes to dealing with grief, I also aim to provide individuals with real tools and skills to manage feelings of anxiety, anger, guilt or sadness that might be arising at this time. Having these in your tool kit can help make dealing with your loss much more manageable.
